Jacob’s Pillow Dance seeks an efficient, well-organized, and personable individual as a part-time Administrative Assistant for its dynamic and wide-ranging Education Programs. The person in this role will work in a fast-paced office environment, providing administrative support to the Director of Education and Education Programs Manager, thus expanding the local, national, and international reach of a variety of programs including The School at Jacob’s Pillow, the Intern Program, Jacob’s Pillow Curriculum in Motion®, and more. Responsibilities include receiving and following up on a high-volume of phone and email inquiries; inter and intra-departmental communication; supporting mailing, data entry, internet research, and website updating needs; and maintaining departmental policies, procedures, and records. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with office procedures; ability to balance priorities; Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); strong written and verbal communication skills; and experience handling of confidential and sensitive information. Prior experience providing administrative support for non-profit or academic organizations is preferred. Knowledge of and interest in dance education is a plus. Exact schedule is negotiable, but hours must be consistent each week; approximately 20-30 hours per week, must be available to work three days per week onsite in Becket, MA. No phone inquiries.
