Dance Alliance is grateful to Soroptimist International of Saratoga County (SISC) for a generous $300 matching grant to design a virtual Dancing Through Time series for late May into June 2021. The series will center around the former National Museum of Dance exhibition: Art of the Dance: Posters from Hollywood’s Golden Age. Board members Mary Anne Fantauzzi and Lydia Huibregtse, in conjunction with the exhibit’s curator Mike Kaplan, will combine five or six thematic mini-tours with a movement class taught by guest teachers. This will be followed by a segment where participants can reminisce about memories the film posters evoke. Stay tuned for more details in next month’s newsletter.
