Dance Alliance is proud and grateful to announce 3 generous donors whose funding will support our organization’s 20-year-old youth outreach program MOVE throughout 2022: Saratoga Casino Hotel Foundation ($500), The John Boyd family ($500), and Saratoga Foundation ($1000). All monies will be used for operating costs associated with its two programs that offer free weekly inclusive dance classes that fuse hip hop, contemporary, modern, and pop styles taught by current and former Skidmore College dance majors. In addition, MOVE ON!, the new Monday night program for developmentally disabled teens and adults ages 18-35, has partnered with SPAC’s new School of the Arts (SOTA) to become part of SOTA’s community collaborative offerings. MOVE Dance, for teens with disabilities ages 14-20, meets at Saratoga Springs High School on Tuesdays after school. Current teacher/choreographers are Lydia Huibregtse, Madelyn Barti (’22), and Annabelle Aber (’24).
