DANCING THROUGH TIME: CONNECTIONS THROUGH CHOREOGRAPHY
Nov 26 @ 12:45 pm – 2:00 pm

DANCING THROUGH TIME: CONNECTIONS THROUGH CHOREOGRAPHY returns with a new theme and new format at the SPAC School of the Arts this Fall. Rather than offering a quick look at different genres of dance each week, DTT will focus on ONE genre in depth for the entire 11-week 2024 semester. From September 17 through December 3, the theme will be TAP with Johnny Martinez (instructor) and Mary Anne Fantauzzi (facilitator). The classes will meet on Tuesdays from 12:45-2:00 beginning with a 12-minute video focusing on one dance artist who is either an American tap luminary or one who was greatly influenced by one. This will be followed by a one-hour progressive tap class that ends with a choreographic phrase inspired by the artist of the day. No experience is necessary and a limited supply of gently used tap shoes will be provided to participants for the semester. Registration and pricing information will be online at www.spacschool.org on July 10th. For more information call 518-587-3331.
