The SPAC School of the Arts will collaborate with Dance Alliance on a new 12-week session and format for its DTT program with an all-female roster of esteemed presenters. The class will meet on Tuesdays February 4th to May 6th (no classes February 17 or April 14) from 12:45-2:00. Mary DiSanto-Rose will lead off with 3 weeks focusing on the roots of modern dance (Graham, Sokolow, Taylor) followed by 3 weeks taught by Deb Rutledge (Merce Cunningham and Trisha Brown). The final 6 weeks, taught by Frankie Soldevere, will focus on legends of tap. Tap shoes will be loaned to participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Each week, participants will view a virtual biographical tour created by Mary Anne Fantauzzi and Lydia Huibregtse about each featured artist followed by a one hour exploratory movement class.
